‘Lancaster students forced to find temporary housing at short notice...’
That’s the headline on local news as Lancaster students are left without places to stay as the academic year begins. We know things like this can be stressful and put extra pressure on students to find places to live either this year, or next.
At LUSU, we’re here to support your student journey. Even at times like this.
LUSU Living is our very own student housing company, dedicated to providing Lancaster students with affordable accommodation.
All our properties are fully accredited by LU Homes – a Lancaster University specific quality mark, that essentially means all of our properties meet high standards for both Health and Safety.
Being for students, we strive to offer you the most affordable, reasonable rent prices, fair contracts, and all the support you need throughout your time with us.
LUSU President 2025/26, Rory O’Ceallaigh, said:
‘LUSU Living properties are accredited and managed by your Students' Union. Our aim is to provide high quality accommodation in town at an affordable price, which is so important when student poverty has become the norm.
As a company run by LUSU, any profits made go straight back into running our day-to-day activities, from sports and society funding to our Advice service, and to the running of The Sugarhouse. We still have bed spaces left for this year, so if you've been affected by this delay, get in touch and we'll be happy to help!’
LUSU Living still have homes available for students this academic year. If you’re interested, get in touch with us to discuss!
