Extravs season is officially underway!

June 19 marks the first day of Extravs 2026. Friday sees the return of Extravs at Furness, Fylde, Grizedale and Pendle Colleges – and a the official Extravs Opening Party at The Sugarhouse. Saturday sees Cartmel, Bowland, County and Grad Colleges teaming up at Barkers and County Bar to see out the 25/26 Academic Year with a bang. All extravs are open to students from all colleges, and are completely free to attend, with Sugarhouse Opening Party tickets available to purchase now via Fixr

Additional wellbeing support over Extrav weekend

We want students to feel safe and comfortable at all events, including this weekend’s Extravs.

Lancaster University Students’ Union is offering quiet spaces at each Extrav, opening its central space on campus until 3am, and extending access to its Advice service through the weekend.

LUSU and the University shared a quick message with the details:

Support available

As we approach the end of the academic year and, for some, the end of the exam period, we wanted to remind you that you are part of our community and you need not feel alone.

  • During the Extrav period (Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June) there will be additional support on campus in the form of quiet spaces at each Extrav for anyone seeking some respite or just a quiet place to take some time out.
  • LUSU A Floor will be open throughout the duration of Extravs until 3am, with tea, coffee, and biscuits.
  • LUSU will increase its welfare provision from security providers FGH both nights including a table of snacks, condoms, spikey drink stoppers, sanitary products, advice flyers, flip flops and more. There will also be an additional Welfare Stand (LUSU Purple Gazebo) outside Fylde Common Room.
  • LUSU Advice will be accessible throughout the weekend via lusuadvice@lancaster.ac.uk and the LUSU Emergency Safeguarding phoneline will be accessible too: 07376 427552.
  • Look out for our purple t-shirts â€“ LUSU will have two people on ‘sober duty’ at each event and plenty of LUSU staff all in purple t-shirts.
