Thanks to this idea and other feedback about water fountains, your Full-Time Officers were able to lobby the University to commit to a facilities plan for water fountains around campus.

I've noticed the lack of water fountains on campus.
The impact of single-use plastics on the environment are well known.
Making water fountains more readily accesible may help reduce the number of single-use water bottles being used and sold on campus, as well as encouraging students to drink more water!

Hi Sophie, Thanks for your idea! I'm meeting with the university next week to discuss taps around campus to re-fill water bottles. We want to encourage people to avoid single-use plastic bottles while drinking more water and this is the first step in that plan! All the best, Josh, Union President
