Lancaster University Student’s Union Children and Young People’s Partnership have had an outstanding year!
Recently the team relaunched the Be the Change Democracy, Leadership & Teamwork and Go Green flagship projects, after two years of absence!
The team volunteered at several campus visits. The visit educated children about further opportunities in education, using engaging activities that supported several key areas of the national curriculum. This was also a chance for children to ask current students questions about courses and student life.
Head Teacher Paul Bowden Slyne-with-Hest Primary “Thank you for a great day at the University last week - the children all enjoyed the activities and especially seeing around the University campus. The SU students were all fantastic with our children."
A huge thank you to over 60 student staff and hundreds of volunteers for your hard work this year and helping to inspire over 2000 children about higher education.
Opportunities co-ordinator Mark Gardner “My student staff team and volunteers have been outstanding and really made a difference to the visits and I couldn’t have wished for a better team”
