Management consultant Antony Blackshaw has joined your students’ union as our new Interim Chief Executive.

He will be working with us until the end of the year, leading the staff team and supporting your elected officers while Chief Executive Claire Geddes works with the university on secondment.

Antony said: “I am pleased to be here supporting the students’ union at this key time.

"I have had links with the SU here at Lancaster for several years and look forward to working with the team in a closer capacity during this engagement.”

Antony has been a students’ union management consultant for the last nine years and has worked with us on numerous occasions, offering guidance on a number of areas of our work and facilitating inductions of our Full-Time Officer teams.

During his time as a consultant Antony has acted as Interim Chief Executive at a number of students’ unions, including Oxford, Ulster and Wolverhampton.

He was previously permanent Chief Executive at Edinburgh University Students’ Association and University of Essex Students’ Union.
