If you don’t know, the Roses Varsity Competition is our annual varsity sports tournament versus the University of York. It is often described as the largest inter-university sports tournament in Europe with over 30,000 people competing, officiating, spectating and working the last time we hosted in 2022.
After two consecutive years of Lancaster wins, and the all-time scoreboard standing at 28-all, 2024 could not be more crucial. It also represents Lancaster University’s 60th anniversary year and we will be pulling out all the stops to make it a year to remember.
Roses Committee is a student committee led by the Vice President Sport. You will have the opportunity to shape what the overall event will look like and vote on important decisions regarding constitutional changes and regulations, provide support throughout Roses weekend to help us keep roses red.
Applicants will ideally be a member of a current Roses discipline though this is not a prerequisite. To apply, please complete this form before the deadline of Friday 10th November.
