It’s time… your new Full-Time Officers are here! 

 

 

With the summer holidays settling in, your previous FTO team are off on their own exciting new adventures. Meanwhile, we’re getting ready for some new (and old) faces to come through the LUSU doors and make their mark on student life in Lancaster.

So, let’s give a warm welcome to your 2024/25 Full-Time Officer team! 

 

President: Cerys Evans (she/her) 

After being your president for the 2023/24 academic year, Cerys is ready for round two.

Cerys’ main focus points for this year will be: 
•    Putting on a great Welcome Week in collaboration with the JCRs 
•    Reward and recognition for student leaders 
•    Improving digital systems for students

Education Officer: Harrison Stewart (he/him) 

Your previous VP Union Development, Harrison is now shifting his focus onto education. 

This upcoming year, Harrison will be focusing on: 
•    Freeing up Wednesday afternoons for BUCS Sport 
•    Cutting the timetabled day down to 9-5 
•    Embedding climate and sustainability education into curriculums

Wellbeing Officer: Ella Smith (she/her)

After a slight switcheroo in title, it’s time to welcome Ella Smith as your new Wellbeing Officer! 

For Ella, being your Wellbeing Officer means: 
•    Ensuring safety for students, both on and off campus 
•    Supporting communities such as the JCR, Liberation Forums and Societies 
•    Student financial assistance in the form of funding, food, and other hygiene products

Activities Officer: Jack Watson (he/him) 

 

And last (but certainly not least) your current VP Sport, Jack Watson, is returning as your new Activities Officer. 

This year, Jack will be focusing his work on: 
•    Developing a Student Volunteer Recognition Programme 
•    Continuing the development of Society Committees and Leagues 
•    Expanding the Student Leader training offer
