The 2019 Fireworks Spectacular!

Sharing the Guy Fawkes night tradition with our international community, the event will include tasty treats, fabulous student performances and a fantastic fireworks display 🎇

Bonfire night has been an annual tradition in the UK for hundreds of years as a way of celebrating the foiled plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament on November 5th 1605 🔥 Traditionally celebrated with fireworks and a large bonfire, the SU display is part of nationwide celebrations and is a great way for international students to experience the event for the first time 🙌

📍 Lancaster Square
🚪 6PM Gates Open
🎆8PM Fireworks

🔥 It will no doubt be BUSY, so be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment
⭐️ The fireworks will be set off from the woods behind Lancaster Square (County College) so you might be able to view from your accommodation or nearby spaces
🎃 The car park below the display will be closed for safety reasons, please park elsewhere if you need access to your car during the event
