Hello everyone, we're going to go bouldering to the Langdale Boulders in the Lakes! This trip is open to all abilities and experience levels. These boulders have about a 5 minute walk-in from the road. There are no toilet facillites at the crag, other than the bush.
Bouldering is climbing short routes using foam pads rather than ropes to protect a fall, and it's a really accessible way to try outdoor rock climbing! We'll be heading over in the morning and then heading home in the afternoon. Its really easy to go and do this on your own once you know what your doing; you can borrow club pads and head off to our local favourites Windy Clough or Thorn Crag before you know it!
We'll be meeting at University House, 9am this Saturday 17th May. University House is located right next to the Bowland porters or Chaiplancy and can be found by walking straight from the library front entrance through the two sets of double doors opposite. Alternatively if these directions are crap, here is a pin.
