Ballroom and Latin Taster Session
Welcome all prospective or current ballroom dancers! This is where you can book your free Monday taster session with us, taught by our pro coach Craig Jones.
If you are new, you will be taught from the ground up in the Waltz and Cha cha from 6-8pm, novices will be taught some Waltz and Jive from 8-9pm and open dancers, AKA dancers with more experience, will be taught some Quickstep till 9.45pm when the event ends. It is strongly recommended that beginner dancers take part in the 6-8pm session, where you will be learning the basics of our most core dances!
Notes: Don't worry about clothing or shoes, but do turn up in something sporty/breathable as the room will get warm and you need to be able to move your body freely! Make sure to bring a drink too. And a note from me, most of you signing up will be beginners and that's completely fine, most of us starting out had two left feet. Don't be afraid, we are here to help you so just turn up and do your best to keep up! Lastly, we ask that you clear the floor promptly when the session ends so that the next group can start on time.

- The Students’ Union cannot take any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to an event.
- There will be photographers, videographers and live-streaming on site at some Students’ Union events. By purchasing tickets you are accepting that photographs may be taken of you during the event and that these may be released into the public domain; examples of uses include, though are not limited to, publication on the Students’ Union Facebook page, Students’ Union website and our publications.
