There are 6 different categories under which you can nominate, and they're explained below. You can nominate more than one person, and you can even nominate the same person for more than one award!

STUDENT FEEDBACK AWARD
The Student Feedback Award will be given to a member of staff that provides an exceptional quality of summative feedback detailing what you have done well and why. They will consistently give detailed and constructive comments on areas for improvement, and offer suggestions on how you can improve in the future. They will also give feedback in a timely manner, and provide resources which allow students to complete work to a higher quality when prompted.
UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING AWARD
The Undergraduate Teaching Award will be given to a member of staff that has made an outstanding contribution towards leading curriculum design and teaching practice. They will have used a variety of innovative teaching practices, and helped to ensure that students on their course have a strong grasp of the subject area. They will challenge and inspire students in their independent learning, and will have shown a strong commitment to supporting students. They will also be responsive to student concerns or difficulties, and will endeavour to empower individuals to overcome their barriers to learning.
PG TEACHING/SUPERVISION AWARD
The PG Teaching/Supervision Award will be presented to a member of staff that has made an outstanding contribution towards enhancing the postgraduate student experience at Lancaster, whether this be through leading edge curriculum design, innovative teaching practice or supporting students through their doctoral research programmes. They will use a variety of innovative teaching practices helping to ensure that students on their course have a strong grasp of the subject area, helped students identify and utilise the appropriate research tools needed to produce a competent, compelling and innovative piece of research and challenged and inspire students in their independent learning. They will have shown a strong commitment to supporting students, are responsive to student concerns and difficulties and endeavour to empower individuals to overcome their barriers to learning and postgraduate study.
STUDENT EXPERIENCE IMPACT AWARD
The Student Experience Impact Award will be awarded to a member of staff that goes beyond their official duties to improve the overall student experience. They will engage with students’ through a variety of means, for example the assisting and encouraging of Student Reps, student groups etc.... They will promote positive change and actively work on resolving student issues. They will understand that students’ needs and wants constantly change and are willing to change their approach to provide the best student experience.
POSTGRADUATE WHO TEACHES AWARD
The Postgraduate Who Teaches Award will be given to a postgraduate who has shown an outstanding contribution towards exceptional and inspirational curriculum delivery and innovative teaching practice for their students. They will use a wide range of engaging materials in their delivery of the course and encourage their students to actively and critically conduct their own learning. They will have shown a strong commitment to supporting students, are responsive to student concerns and difficulties and endeavour to empower & support individuals in overcoming their barriers to learning.
BEST SUPPORT STAFF
The Best Support Staff Award will be presented to a member of staff with is not directly involved in teaching, but who has demonstrated exceptional care or assistance towards students. They will offer excellent personal, administrative or technical support to students and colleagues. They may offer support in a college, departmental, pastoral or university-wide support service, and can always offer a solution to any issues with which they are acquainted.
