2,616 students cast 22,013 votes for the next year’s leaders in Colleges and Student Trustees. But who won? 

 

 

With over 150 candidates, over 2,600 voters, and over 22,000 votes cast; this was possibly the biggest Michaelmas Election ever.

This gives our JCRs and PG Board a great mandate to lead throughout 2026 and build upon their success in Welcome Week 2025.  

 

100 Sausage Rolls 

Though the overall turnout was 16%, Bowland College achieved an astonishing 26.1% turnout and secured the all-important 100 sausage rolls. When and how they deploy them is up to them!

397 Native Trees 

You will be also glad to know that following such amazing engagement, we will now plant 131 trees (as part of our Trees for Votes initiative). After a year of massive elections, LUSU Green have the daunting task of planting 397 native trees on-campus!
